God powerless against amputation

By way of explaining Christian Scientists' method of prayer (not a defense), they believe that all abnormalities (like an amputated limb) are illusory. Prayer is not for the purpose of changing an amputated leg into a normal one again, but to "unsee" the abnormality and see the fact that the leg was never amputated in the first place. You only believed that because you assent to a materialistic world view that allows legs to seem amputated. Pretty convoluted reasoning, but it is different from what Sam Harris states above. And it's still bogus, as I have proved many times in my own experience as a former Christian Scientist.
